What will I do as a Cleaning Operative:

You’ll be responsible for cleaning the main factory, staff areas and yard, this involves working both inside and outside come rain or shine. Inside the factory, you will wash multiple doughnut trays, kitchen equipment and utensils. In other areas, you will keep staff facilities and corridors clean and tidy. Outside, you will be expected to dispose of food waste, clean trolleys, bins and recycle. You’ll work in a fast-paced and versatile manufacturing environment, with tight deadlines especially during peak times throughout the week and year. Expectations of food health and safety standards are high; therefore, consistency and ability to follow direction and COSHH is key.


What we’re looking for in a Cleaning Operative:

  • Flexibility to work an 8 hour / day, in line with site specific manufacturing shift requirements.
  • Excellent availability to work between Monday to Sunday
  • Hygiene focused, team players, who are looking to master their craft, while not taking themselves too seriously
  • Excellent work ethic, reliability, coachability and a positive attitude

Job Description

Monthind Clean are recruiting for a Cleaning Operative in a school in Ipswich IP5.

The role is part time working 10 hours per week, Monday – Friday 3:30pm – 5:30pm. Rate of pay is £11.60 per hour.

You will be required to carry out cleaning tasks in line with the site specification. Duties to include cleaning offices, toilets and communal areas. You will be required to follow COSHH guidelines when carrying out your duties using cleaning chemicals.

The Role:

  • Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
  • Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
  • Knowledge of scrubber dryer operation would be an advantage
  • Any and all other cleaning duties
