Fleet Maintenance Controller

Location: Potters Bar

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Position Type: Full Time Monday to Saturday 9am – 6pm – Alternative Saturday’s and a day off during the week.

Direct Accident was formed in 1996 to assist clients who had been involved in road traffic accidents caused by another party. In that time, we have helped thousands of clients by taking away the worry and inconvenience that inevitably result from an accident caused by somebody else.

We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Management Controller who will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles, minimizing downtime and cost control.

Responsibilities to include:

· Ensuring vehicles are maintained to manufacturer schedule

· Management of service and repair processes to agreed service level agreements

· Liaising with maintenance provider to plan and agree work

· Cost control and budgeting

· Maintaining company database

· Raising purchase orders

· Process management

· Stock control

· Quality control

· Supervision of ancillary staff

· Creating management information for stakeholders

· Providing technical guidance and supporting to fleet teams

About You:

· Demonstrable Mechanical knowledge preferably with City & Guilds Qualification

· Mechanical Experience is essential to this position

· Proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment in a similar role

· Proven ability to control and reduce costs in a similar role

· Motorbike Licence preferred but not essential
