Painter and Decorator with Multi Skilled Ability
Exciting opportunity to work as part of the MZ Contracts Ltd multi-disciplined team carrying out refurbishment and maintenance projects across London and the home counties. Our clients include NHS Trusts, Primary Care, CBRE, London and Regional Properties and Compass Group
We are seeking an experienced and hard-working Painter and Decorator to join the team ASAP!
- Ideally someone with in 1 hours drive of our offices based in CR3, surrey.
- Driving Licence essential with experience of driving, as a company van will be supplied.
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm, flexibility is great as we also have night shifts and weekend work – pay reflective of this.

Key Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- To carry out all planned building / fabric work as per specification on quoted projects
- To carry out reactive works to client sites ensuring minimum disruption to services is experienced and to ensure that all reactive calls are closed out within agreed response and rectification times.
- Undertake any ad-hoc duties that may be necessary during your working shift e.g installation of access hatches, skirtings and door furniture and minor roof repairs with a paintable water proofer
- Be able to Measure the work area to calculate the time and materials required to complete the project
- Preparing painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks and washing walls
- Mixing and matching paints and colours to meet the texture and look required for the project
- Working with other construction professionals such as, carpenters, electricians and plumbers when necessary
- To maintain high standards of customer care
- To be flexible and undertake other reasonable duties to accommodate operational requirements
- To liaise with MZ Contracts sub-contractors ensuring induction and safety processes are followed.

- To adhere safe working practice and procedures and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
- To report to your immediate supervisor anything that might put at risk the health, safety or welfare of yourself, colleagues or visitors.
- To work in a manner conducive to the health and safety of yourself and any other person who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
- · Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and Company policy. (Fire regulations, COSHH, Safe working practices, PPE, PAT testing etc)

- · To show a proactive approach to Health & safety in the work environment and take the necessary steps to ensure risks are mitigated.

- The safe & efficient use of cleaning equipment

Due the nature of our work and the environments we work within there is sometimes an element of weekend and night work.
Regular upkeep of your allocated company van and to complete weekly van inspections.
