Job Description

Diamond Drainage are looking for Experienced Drainage Engineers, If you have 2 years of relevant experience and hold a full UK driver’s license, and live locally to Aberdeen please get in touch.

Controlling wastewater and storm water drainage is vital to protecting Public Health and the local environment and you must be competent and have the necessary skills to handle any sewerage or drainage problem and be experienced in high pressure water jetting, training will be available for CCTV surveys and drain lining.

Requirements

  • Drain Jetting, with CCTV Survey experience
  • Diagnosing problems with customer drainage systems – Domestic and Commercial
  • Work independently or as part of a team
  • Deliver a high standard of technical and customer care
  • Work in accordance with Health & Safety and Quality Procedures
  • Provide a positive and helpful disposition and professionally communicate with customers
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of identifying and resolving drainage issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Drainage Engineer or in a related role.
  • Possess a full UK driver’s license with a clean driving record

What we need from you

  • Experiance Unblocking Drains with High Pressure Water Jet equipment

  • Experiance Undertaking Minor Repairs on drainage systems
  • A keen eye for detail and finishes.
  • Good communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence with 6 points or less

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod is a leading provider of drain clearance and maintenance services delivered on a largely reactive basis. The services are provided by over 40 franchisees with geographical coverage across most of the UK, Scotland, and Norther Ireland.

This is a full-time vacancy and will involve you in providing a range of emergency and contracted services to both commercial and domestic customers. The successful candidate will be provided with a company van and fuel card.

What does it entail?

  • Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
  • Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
  • Carrying out surveys
  • Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
  • Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
  • Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
  • Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four– variable according to the business needs
