We provide a wide range of NHS services to people with mental health and learning disability needs – in Devon, the wider South West region and nationally.
Our frontline teams include psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, support workers and administrative staff. We are increasingly striving to recruit people who have personal experience of mental health and learning disability issues as peer support workers.
We support our staff who are members of, or who wish to join the Volunteer Reserve Forces and have a Bronze award from the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme, which acknowledges our commitment.
We have a budget of £145m a year and employ around 2,600 staff. During the course of a year we receive around 66,000 referrals and we are supporting around 20,000 people every month.
We are proud to have some wonderful volunteers that work for us. If you are interested in finding out more about voluntary work please email dpn-tr.DPTVolunteers@nhs.net.
We have been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission and our aim is to achieve a rating of ‘Outstanding’ by 2021.
