Job Description

• Liaise with internal/external clients to define the requirements for websites or applications.
• Present design options to the client and provide mock-ups, discussing any required alterations.
• Clarify aims of the project brief, discuss media, software, and technology to be used, establish a timetable for the project, and define budgetary constraints.
• Design, develop, and maintain websites and web/mobile applications to meet client specifications.
• Create web pages and applications, including graphics, animation, and functionality to maximize visual effectiveness and facilitate appropriate access.
• Design web interfaces for relational database systems.
• Manage and develop the content and operation of websites, monitor traffic, and ensure the functionality of websites and web servers.
• Establish methods to ensure appropriate website security and recovery.
• Prepare specifications and instructions for the realization of projects.
• Liaise with other parts of the development team to ensure projects align with other elements, processes, and timescales.
• Undertake research into the project, consider previous related projects, and compare costs of using different processes.
