Job Description

Derive Care are looking for compassionate, kind, and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our Cardiff team and provide person-centred care to our valued service users. If you are looking for a career where you can truly make a difference, this role is for you!

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be working in a variety of healthcare establishments throughout Cardiff, with a possibility of working across South Wales. You will assist with personal care, support daily living activities, and help residents live with dignity and independence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support service users with the highest standard of personalised care at all times, utilising care plans.
  • Support service users in all aspects of their daily living whilst enabling them to live as independently as possible.
  • Support all types of care needs including physical, emotional and spiritual.
  • Respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of service users at all times.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to call bells.
  • Support at mealtimes.
  • Encourage and support service users to participate in activities.
  • Monitor the health and well being of service users, reporting any changes or safeguarding concerns.
  • Liaise with family members and outside healthcare professionals as and when needed.

We require you:

  • to hold a full driving licence and have access to a car
  • to have the right to work in the UK
  • be compassionate and caring at all times whilst remaining professional and reliable

Your Role:
As a Health Care Assistant or Support Worker, you will provide compassionate care to individuals in care homes or supported services, catering to those with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and physical disabilities.

What We Need From You:
Minimum 6 months experience in care or support roles
Experience in Moving and Handling (essential)
A caring and dedicated nature
