Health Care Assistant/Support Worker
Job Description
Derive Care are looking for compassionate, kind, and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our Cardiff team and provide person-centred care to our valued service users. If you are looking for a career where you can truly make a difference, this role is for you!
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be working in a variety of healthcare establishments throughout Cardiff, with a possibility of working across South Wales. You will assist with personal care, support daily living activities, and help residents live with dignity and independence.

Main Responsibilities:
- Support service users with the highest standard of personalised care at all times, utilising care plans.
- Support service users in all aspects of their daily living whilst enabling them to live as independently as possible.
- Support all types of care needs including physical, emotional and spiritual.
- Respect and maintain the privacy and dignity of service users at all times.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to call bells.
- Support at mealtimes.
- Encourage and support service users to participate in activities.
- Monitor the health and well being of service users, reporting any changes or safeguarding concerns.
- Liaise with family members and outside healthcare professionals as and when needed.
We require you:
- to hold a full driving licence and have access to a car
- to have the right to work in the UK
- be compassionate and caring at all times whilst remaining professional and reliable
