Manager: Software Engineering: Platform CSS (1 position available)

Role Overview:
In this role you will lead a software engineering team to execute project roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives while focusing on innovation and operational efficiency. Oversee technology development, support engineering lifecycles, and contribute to optimizing financial performance to deliver reliable and scalable software solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate operational strategies and roadmaps for the software engineering team, supporting alignment with business objectives and ensuring effective implementation.
  • Focus on driving operational efficiency and enhancing processes within the team to deliver stable and high-quality software solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams to help ensure system reliability, availability, and scalability to meet product and customer requirements.
  • Support the development of technology roadmaps and manage engineering lifecycles to facilitate product innovation and business growth.
  • Allocate and manage engineering resources effectively across software development projects to balance workloads and meet project deadlines.
  • Encourage and apply technological advancements and industry trends within the team to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantages.
  • Develop and manage the team budget to align with strategy, ensuring financial feasibility across projects.
  • Support the implementation of reporting frameworks to track project performance, provide feedback, and focus on cost reduction and optimization.
  • Contribute to cost-benefit analyses and evaluate the financial impact of projects, helping plan for future needs and manage financial risks to support overall portfolio performance.
  • Lead and drive a team of individual contributors with a focus on tactical strategy delivery by setting clear direction and transparent expectations, to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement and achieve / exceed performance measures.
  • Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory/best practices and business operations to identify, assess and create tactical strategies that elevate and transform team software delivery processes and efficiency.


Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5 – 8 years of experience in Software Engineering of which at least 3 years in a Senior role.
  • Deep understanding of job-related concepts with specialization in some areas and/or a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.


Specific & Business Knowledge Required:

  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); Programming Languages & Technologies; DevOps & CI/CD; Cloud Platforms; Quality Assurance; Technical Debt Management; In-depth iGaming Operator Knowledge; Regulatory Compliance; Platform Architecture; Modern Development Methodology; AI/ML.
  • Data Management Processes; Architecture & Design Principles; Customer Portfolio; Product Portfolio; Expertise in Market Dynamics; Customer Needs; Product Roadmap; Relationship Management; Product Integration.
