Highfields is situated in Matlock, the county town of Derbyshire, on the south eastern edge of the beautiful Peak District National Park. It is within easy reach of Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham.

Job Description

Overview
The Proctor plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity and smooth operation of examinations. This position involves supervising students during assessments, maintaining a secure testing environment, and providing assistance as needed. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to upholding academic standards.

Duties

  • Supervise students during examinations to ensure compliance with examination regulations.
  • Distribute examination materials and provide clear instructions to candidates.
  • Monitor the testing environment for any irregularities or breaches of conduct.
  • Assist students with queries related to the examination process while ensuring fairness and impartiality.
  • Collect completed examination papers and ensure they are securely stored until submission.
  • Report any incidents or issues that arise during the examination to the appropriate authorities.
  • Educate students on examination protocols and expectations prior to the assessment day.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of integrity in maintaining examination standards.
  • Previous experience in an educational or supervisory role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage time effectively during examinations.
  • A commitment to fostering a supportive environment for all candidates.
