We are looking for an organised and dedicated individual to join our team as a Business Services Assistant within Derbyshire County Council’s new Transport Commissioning and Contracts team. About the Role:
As a Business Services Assistant, you will provide essential administrative support in arranging, procuring, and maintaining passenger transport services, while assisting with contracts and ensuring compliance within passenger transport services as part of the Commissioning and Contracts team. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, including parents, carers, schools, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring the smooth operation of our transport services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact, addressing issues and providing support for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor contract performance and escalate issues where necessary.
- Provide administrative support, including note-taking and document management.
- Process financial information, including invoices, claims, and accounts.
- Maintain and organise records and data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working in a busy, customer-focused environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A solid understanding of data management systems and financial processes.
- Proficiency in ICT systems, particularly Microsoft Office applications.
- A good understanding of data protection legislation.
