Job Description

DegreeSix Recruitment are a specialist agency working with Residential Children’s Services (Aged 5-18) and Supported Living (18-25) supporting those that have suffered childhood trauma, emotional and behavioural difficulties, mental health, learning disabilities and autism.

Duties and responsibilities of a Support Worker –

– Maintaining a safe, clean and positive living environment for the young people

– Following correct safeguarding practices

– Providing personal, domestic and emotional support

– Engaging in fun activities within the community and within the home

– Promoting and developing positive relationships with the young people

– Work collaboratively with the core staff team to promote the well-being of young people

– Knowledge of OFSTED Children’s Home regulations

Ideally you’ll have the following:

– Minimum of 3 months UK based Social Care experience (Essential)

– Enhanced DBS registered on the Online update service (Preferred)

– Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)

Rates of pay are:

£11.44 p/h for day rate + £1.25 p/h accrued separately as a holiday payment

£11.54 p/h for day rate + £1.25 p/h accrued separately as a holiday payment

Experience:
