I am recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a young, and growing, very successful EBD home. They can house 3 young people, and because of the building’s location, they cater to low-risk. Due to the team’s hard work, the home is OFSTED rated ‘Good’.

With the starting salary of £30,000 and dependent on experience there is flexibility to negotiate.

The home is fully staffed but is looking for a Deputy Manager to aid the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. I am looking for someone who either has new experience at the level or someone who has delved into management and what’s the step up.

The role itself

• Aiding the RM in day-to-day running of the home
• Managing team members: Shift patterns/recruitment/appraisals
• 9-5 shift pattern – however available to work the occasional evenings/ weekends etc
• Sleeps when needed: £60 per sleep
• OFSTED Inspections: Understanding the different regulations required for inspections and operating accordingly.
• In-house training: Established training pack but is looking for someone with experience.
• Clear room for progressions.

Experience:

• Residential Childcare: 3 years (preferred)
• Managing within Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
• Level 3/4 Residential Childcare (preferred)
• Level 5 Leadership and Management (preferred)
