Job Description

We require a Mobile Cleaning Operative for the Newbury area to carry out scheduled cleaning work for Communal and Commercial cleaning divisions throughout our franchised area.

Experience in the commercial cleaning industry is an advantage, but not a necessity. We are looking for someone who has a proven employment record to date. It is important that the successful applicant can show they have the ability to communicate well, be presentable in appearance, be practical in their abilities and have the initiative to work on their own or fit into a team.

This is a full time position Monday to Friday , 40 hours per week, 8.00am to 4.30 pm with a 30 minute unpaid meal break.

A clean driving licence is essential.

The Role:

  • Ensure all areas (offices, kitchen and rest areas) are cleaned efficiently and in a timely manner to the required standards – this to include weekly and periodic tasks.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely as detailed by the Control of Substances Hazardous to health guidelines (COSHH)
  • Ensure full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and agents and use cleaning equipment as directed by the Line Manager only after correct training is given.
  • Report immediately any equipment which is faulty, mark as faulty and do not use
  • Knowledge of scrber dryer operation would be an advantage
  • Any and all other cleaning duties

  • Attention to detail in all aspects of the work.
  • Clean and Valid Driving Licence
  • Leads by example and lives our values.

  • Self-motivated, working independently and on own initiative.
  • Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Basic statutory training for the role will require all candidates to have basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills to assist in understanding safety and work instructions and communicating with customers on a day-to-day basis.

  • Valid & Clean Driving Licence
  • Flexible with a positive, can-do attitude.
