Job Description
Debdale Specialist Care Limited is currently looking for a Care Assistant for the position of Support Worker/Rehabilitation Assistant.
We are a specialist, nurse-led and therapy driven care home offering hospital-equivalent levels of care from a Consultant Psychiatrist-led Multidisciplinary Team.

We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting vulnerable service users to fulfil their Recovery potential and return to community living. Whilst previous mental health experience is preferred we seek proactive, innovative thinkers who will help our service users overcome barriers to meet their potential. We provide full training – both internal and external.
Responsibilities of Rehabilitation Assistant:
· Maintain a high standard of care and comfort for all Service Users in the Home, with the help of other designations of staff, in line with their individual care plans
· Assist Service Users where appropriate with all care connected with daily living, including household duties, mobility, dressing, undressing, bathing, toileting and nutrition
· Report any concerns, worries or ill health of Service Users to the person in charge
· Provide and participate in activities, and/or outings for the Service User – provide a sense of wellbeing and maximise quality of life
· Respect Service Users’ wishes and involve Service Users in their care, allowing them to make choices. Do not always make decisions for them without their knowledge or agreement and involve them closely with their care
· Maintain good relationships with relatives and be courteous to all visitors by making them feel welcome in the Home
· Maintain good levels of communication between all staff and Service Users, answer telephone calls and deal with visitors to the home in a polite and courteous manner
· Be willing to participate in the training policy of the Home
· Report any accidents immediately to the person in charge
· Maintain confidentiality at all times
Shift times:
Early 07:15-14:30
Late 14:15-21:30,
Nights 21:15-07:30.
The expectation is that you will work all the above shifts, you hours of work will be 140 per four week period on a rotating shift pattern. The rota is issued 6 weeks in advance.
