Job Description

We are looking for a competent CNC Operator to join Deanestor Limited, the market leader for undertaking specialist furniture subcontracts in the Healthcare and Education sector.

You must have the ability to work with great concentration and precision, be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.

The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of the highest quality in a profitable manner.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading manufacturing drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • Prepare and load raw materials onto the machines
  • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Requirements

  • Proven experience in furniture manufacturing would be beneficial
  • Previous use of CNC machinery with understanding of program software
  • Knowledge of CNC machines associated with furniture manufacture
  • Understanding of manufacturing drawings
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Keen eye for tolerance and quality

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 39 per week
