Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading hospice to recruitment permanent band 6 Childrens Nurses.

Overview
The children’s Hospice Nurse plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care to patients with terminal illnesses and supporting their families during challenging times. This position requires a dedicated professional who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for patients through skilled nursing care, emotional support, and effective communication. The Hospice Nurse will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that the needs of patients and their families are met with dignity and respect.

Duties

• Deliver high-quality patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding disease processes, treatment options, and end-of-life care.
• Skills
• Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy, compassion, and active listening.
• In-depth knowledge of anatomy to effectively assess patient conditions and provide appropriate interventions.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation purpose
