MAD SCIENCE is looking for a Lead instructor in the Oxford area.

This role is open for part time or full time for the right person based in Oxford or Beaconsfield areas. This position would require travel throughout the area.

JOB ROLE

Instructor – 20 hours a week

  • Lead Engaging Science Sessions: Supervise and conduct interactive science activities for groups of up to 25 children in a school setting, fostering curiosity and a love for learning.
  • Deliver Exciting Science Shows: Present dynamic science shows to school audiences, captivating young minds and sparking their interest in scientific exploration.
  • Manage and Mentor Instructors: Lead and support a small team of instructors, ensuring high-quality delivery of science programs and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Coordinate Kit Management: Organize and manage the exchange and upkeep of science kits, ensuring all materials are prepared and available for each session.
  • Serve as a Brand Ambassador: Represent Mad Science SW as a customer-facing brand ambassador, building positive relationships with schools and promoting the value of science education.

Area Lead -20 hours a week – From Home!

  • Drive Sales Growth: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market presence and achieve revenue targets within the designated territory.
  • Territory Management: Oversee and organize the administrative functions of the territory, ensuring efficient operations and optimal resource allocation.
  • Office Administration: Manage day-to-day office tasks, including scheduling, reporting, and maintaining accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Staff Training & Development: Conduct training sessions to equip sales teams with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles and deliver exceptional results.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Analyze sales data, monitor team performance, and report on progress, providing insights for continuous improvement and growth strategies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Availability at least 2-3 Afternoons a week for term time. (classes run an hour from school finish time for a whole school term.)
  • 20-40 hours to be split over 3-5 days to include morning assemblies and after school times.
  • Own Car and the ability to drive (This is mandatory as equipment needs to be taken to schools and public transport is not an option)
  • Enhanced DBS Clearance (Check can be provided prior to appointment)

  • Has at least a year experience working with children aged between 5-11
  • Ability to learn & digest information (activities and science knowledge)
