Job Description

Salary: £13.50 – 15.00 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an Order Picker in the Evesham area to join our client in their busy team in the Production Engineering sector.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Skills: Proficiency in communication, time management, problem-solving, and working independently.

  • Experience:     Prior work in sheet metal fabrication with knowledge of measuring tools, fixtures, and work-holding components.

  • Attributes:     Organized, trustworthy, innovative, customer-focused, and proactive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming Tasks:

    • Process CAD/CAM programming for flatbed and tube lasers using software like Jet Cam, Amada Production Designer, and AR Tube.
    • Create accurate CAD/CAM drawings from customer-provided files.
    • Optimize material usage to reduce waste and maximize efficiency.

  • CNC Program Management:

    • Generate and manage CNC programs.
    • Perform both online and offline programming.
    • Monitor, document, and control program changes.

  • Operational Duties:

    • Troubleshoot issues in machining processes.
    • Develop and maintain robust drawing files and processes.
    • Collaborate with and support the production manager.

  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Allocate tasks to team members and track time in Excel.
    • Ensure accurate material allocation daily.
    • Assist in meeting manufacturing lead times.

Other Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong knowledge of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning.

Hours of Work :

Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm


Rate of Pay:

£13.50 – £15 Depending on experience.
