Job Description

Mosaic1898 Direct Payments are support service are assisting a lady to recruit a personal Care Assistant –

Casual Personal Health Assistants Days Mon- Sunday – Location LE3

Working Times: Monday to Sunday – as and when required on casual basis. This position is a casual role, to cover hours for usual PA’s holidays etc.

8.30am to 12.30pm, 4pm to 8pm and 11am to 4pm

Rates of Pay: **Monday to Friday £ 12.67, Saturday & Sunday £ 13.73

To assist in all areas of personal and domestic need as required, and to act as an escort and aid to the employer’s social and day to day activities.

Duties (As required, instructed or directed by employer)

  • Assist with personal care support:-

 Showering

 bathing

 toileting

  • Assist with dressing.
  • Assist with transfers to and from wheelchair.
  • Preparation of breakfast, lunch, and evening meals.
  • Assist/prompt with medication.
  • General household duties:-

 dusting

 vacuuming / mop

 empty bins

 make and change bed

 cleaning of rooms

 laundry / drying / ironing clothes

 washing up.

  • Moving & Handling or hoisting assistance if required by employer.
  • Assistance in /out of car from wheelchair/packing this in/out of car.
  • Assistance with shopping and associated tasks.
  • Escort to other business and social meetings/events.

Requires driver with own car available to use for employer – business use insurance necessary.

The PA should:

  • meet the job’s physical requirements (eg.moving & handling)
  • Arrive at the required times ready to work.
  • Establish close working relationship on one to one basis.
  • Have a current driving licence.

The PA’s Attitude:—

  • Understand that the preservation of dignity & independence is important.
  • Respect the possessions & equipment in the employer’s home.
  • Duties/hours of work required may vary according to requirements.

  • Home care: 1 year (preferred)
