Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will ensure that all food safety standards are met and contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve deli and hot food products, including in accordance with food safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitised.
  • Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling additional products when appropriate.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure the deli is well-stocked at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a friendly and efficient work environment.

Skills

  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food safety practices to maintain high hygiene standards.
  • Experience in upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is advantageous but not essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £6.90-£11.94 per hour

Expected hours: 16 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
