In this role, you will drive the development of Salesforce solutions and integrations, including with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and third-party systems, ensuring our technology infrastructure supports and enhances our client services.

Role Overview:
As the Salesforce Developer you will play a key role in developing and supporting Salesforce-based solutions that drive My Pension Expert’s business objectives. This individual will collaborate closely with internal teams and external third-party partners to ensure seamless integration with other systems, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You will influence both the technical development and strategic direction of the Salesforce platform, focusing on best practice, innovation, automation, and improving customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Salesforce Development:

Lead the development and customisation of Salesforce solutions, utilising Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and Salesforce Flow.

Design and implement data models, security models, and complex workflows tailored to the needs of the financial services sector.

Ensure that Salesforce applications and processes align with business needs, maintaining high performance, scalability, and security.

· Salesforce Marketing Cloud Expertise:

Design, Develop, manage, and optimise Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Audience Builder.

Drive the integration of Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and other key business systems, enabling automated marketing campaigns and personalised customer journeys.

Work alongside marketing teams to improve customer engagement strategies through tailored communication and analytics.

· Third-Party Integrations:

Lead the integration of Salesforce with third-party systems, including APIs, external databases, and cloud-based solutions.

Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure smooth and efficient integration, focusing on data consistency, system performance, and security.

Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring seamless data flow between Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and other platforms.

· Technical Collaboration and mentorship:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and other members of the Salesforce team.

Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver efficient, high-quality Salesforce solutions.

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.

· Ongoing Support & Optimisation:

Monitor and optimise Salesforce performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance system reliability.

Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce developments, releases, and best practices, incorporating new features into the platform when relevant.

Required Skills & Experience:

· Salesforce Expertise:

At least 5 years of experience in Salesforce development, with a strong command of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and Salesforce Flow.

Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data and security models, and firsthand experience in customising Salesforce applications.

Proven record of delivering Salesforce solutions in a highly regulated environment, ideally within the financial services sector.

· Salesforce Marketing Cloud:

Experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including campaign management, customer journey automation, and email marketing strategies.

Ability to integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and other business systems, leveraging data and insights to optimise marketing efforts.

· Third-Party Integrations:

Firsthand experience with integrating Salesforce with third-party applications, systems, and APIs, using REST/SOAP and middleware tools.

Strong understanding of integration best practices and troubleshooting techniques.

· Leadership & Communication:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and influence strategic decisions.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams, as well as external partners.

· Certifications:

Salesforce Platform Developer I & II (or equivalent) certification is required.

Marketing Cloud certification and/or experience is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of the financial services industry, particularly pensions, investments, or retirement planning.

Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.

Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
