We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to join our growing Fund Services team in Jersey. In this role, you’ll work closely with Fund Accounting team on the provision of accounting services to a range of client entities.

About the role

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in the client entity databases (including Viewpoint, Investran and Yardi)
  • Preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements
  • Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and bi-annual reports
  • Preparation and review of periodic reports, capital account statements and net asset valuations, as required
  • Assist with reviewing management reports and financial statements prepared by more junior members of the team
  • Ensure you have a detailed understanding of the transactions and clients you’re dealing with and liaise with your line manager on a regular basis
  • Work with colleagues and team members to ensure client expectations and accounting deadlines are properly managed
  • Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues providing explanations, advice and accounting support as and when required
  • Ensure consistency of accounting service levels across all clients and deal swiftly with any queries
  • Build trusted relationships with clients, auditors and third party service providers
  • Be familiar with and act at all times in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures


About you – essential requirements

  • Qualified ACCA/ACA with good up to date technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application
  • Previous experience of accounting systems, particularly Yardi and Investran would be an advantage
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, with on the job coaching also provided
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • A positive and flexible approach
  • An aptitude for data analysis and problem solving
  • Able to manage and prioritise tasks, time and people in order to meet deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, pro-active and service orientated approach
  • Discretion and demonstrates good judgement
