Male Rehab Assistant/Support Worker *URGENT HIRING

Job Description

You will be providing 1-1 support to our client. Great chance to elevate your skills and knowledge In rehabilitation for a brain injury client.

More detail will be given, further in process. Mainly support required to access community and go HIKING and outdoors. We’re really looking for someone with interests in staying active, cinemas and bowling!

Job timings:

ANY DAY FOR 8 HOURS!

Responsibilities:
-supporting and helping with daily activities. such as community access, appointments, therapy. Ensuring they follow Phsyio plans and promoting any activities from Occupational therapist. Including rehabilitation plans.
– Help patient improve their motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
– Monitor and document patient progress during sessions such diet, mood and posture.

– Long walks are crucial with the client to support balance and posture. As she is very physically able so enjoys to be outdoors!
– Enjoy horse riding sessions with the client. So observing client, providing feedback if helpful also!

Skills:

– Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices to support in rehabilitation
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work effectively within the team (with Phsyio and OT as aforementioned).
– Empathy and compassion for patients with physical or developmental challenges.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
