Pitreavie Castle Care Home, a new purpose-built luxury care home in Dunfermline, is recruiting now. With modern state of the art facilities, small scale living, , Pitreavie Castle promotes safety, security and quality of life for residents and staff.

We are currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Chef with a passion and flair for providing residents with first class restaurant quality food using fresh seasonal produce to work closely with our Head Chef.
You will be welcomed into a supportive team which respects and values each member, seeking to develop their knowledge and skills in a positive, inclusive environment. You will receive comprehensive induction training and will work with the team to promote the wellbeing, dignity, respect and choices of the residents.

About You
You will have a kind and caring approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.
You will have sound knowledge of nutrition, allergens and dietary modification to meet the needs of residents.
You will have experience in working with fresh seasonal food, preparing a palatable menu that addresses the preferences of the residents.
You will be qualified to NVQ/ SVQ/ City & Guilds level with a current food hygiene level 3 certificate.
You will have the ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home,
confidently engaging with residents to create appetizing menus
You will be a natural leader with strong management skills with strong budget and P&L skills
You will work well within the team, leading, guiding, supporting and teaching junior staff members and acting as a role model in maintaining high standards through adherence with best practice.
You will have experience in motivating and leading the staff team.
You will have the right to work within the UK.
