The role provides scope for progression and is suited to an organised, detail focused candidate.

About Us:

Located in Central Cheltenham, Montpellier Legal provides a modern, friendly and forward-thinking atmosphere. We specialise only in residential conveyancing and seek to provide a fast and efficient service across a broad range of transactions, from dealing with local work in the Cotswolds, through to luxury coastal homes and central London apartments. We are revolutionising the customer experience with our ground-breaking technology, industry leading expertise, and great customer care.

We are also dedicated to creating a positive working culture for our staff, offering an excellent office environment, plenty of staff social events and personal development opportunities. Some examples of recent staff care events have included: closing the office for a day at the races and taking the team on an expenses paid trip to Mallorca.

If you would like to be part of this, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently recruiting for this position in our Cheltenham office. We do not offer hybrid working.

Please see below for a little more about this role. The following tasks provide an illustration of the day to day duties the successful applicant would be expected to undertake, though due to the rapid growth of our Company there will always be opportunity to grow for the right candidate.

  • Ensuring that all actions necessary to assign new ownership of a property are properly completed by the transactional team and assisting them with completion of such actions where necessary.
  • Deal with any requisitions from HM Land Registry under the supervision of the Post Completions Manager in a timely manner and avoid cancellation of applications.
  • Ensuring that mortgage lender interests are protected by maintaining the application pipeline and updating mortgage lenders on the registration of their charges.
  • To ensure that completed registrations are checked for accuracy and sent to the lender/client together with copies of any original documents.
  • To ensure that files are closed and archived once all work is complete and no client balances remain on file.
  • To take inbound and make outbound calls to clients, lenders and other parties involved in the completed element of the transaction.
  • Keep folders up to date and organised – disposing of documents post registration as required under the direction.
  • Maintain the Deeds store.
  • To undertake such duties as members of the Directorship team and the Post Completions Manager require.

About You:

  • You must be self-motivated and have the ability to efficiently organise yourself, being able to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent communication and team work skills are essential.
  • You should be practical and able to employ a common sense approach.
