We are building a technology powered global business that combines technical excellence with an innovative product mind-set. Key Accountabilities Include:

  • Utilising extensive software engineering experience to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Leveraging proficiency in the .Net C#/F# to architect and build robust applications.
  • Demonstrating a strong grasp of cloud technologies, particularly Azure, and employ Azure DevOps for streamlined development and deployment.
  • Creating and managing CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration and efficient deployment processes.
  • Applying expertise in software architecture design, adhering to SOLID principles and utilizing design patterns for maintainable and scalable code.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, effectively conveying complex technical concepts through clear communication.
  • Developing and maintaining Rest API solutions to drive software interoperability.

What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role
Required Skills
  • A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, specializing in .Net technologies.
  • Proficiency in Cloud fundamentals, Azure, and practical exposure to Azure DevOps an Azure ML.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their implementation.
  • Sound knowledge of software architecture design, including SOLID principles and various design patterns.
  • English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining Rest API solutions.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Alteryx and Alteryx Server.
  • Experience with Tableau and an understanding of BI requirements.
  • Experience with SQL Server and Store Procedures, contributing to effective data management.
  • Knowledge of Azure Functions, extending capabilities for cloud-based applications.
  • Understanding of Central Bank processes and systems, a bonus for projects related to financial technology.

This position is full-time, permanent. The role is expected to be office-based in London as part of the IT Development team. However, we have an agile flexible working policy which enables you to work up to 2 days from home if desired.

KBR’s Estates Intelligence division specialise in enabling clients to make informed decisions about the operational and strategic management of their estates and asset portfolios, including the external supply chain retained to deliver asset management and maintenance services.

Estates Intelligence teams utilise the ‘6 As’ Methodology to deliver business benefit by deploying their ‘Viaverse’ platform to enable each A – aggregation, automation, assurance, audit, and analytics all to enable enhanced asset management across client’s portfolio.


About the Role

KBR Government Services (GS) EMEA mobilise, maintain and develop ‘integrator’ platforms to enable our public sector (mainly central government) clients manage large and complex estate portfolios required to deliver (often critical) services to the public. Central to GS EMEA’s current technical platform is Concept Evolution, which is deployed across five client platforms managing large volumes of transactional data, integrated to multiple supplier systems, and using complex automated business rules developed by our specialised inhouse CAFM team to ensure data integrity and transactional fidelity are ensured.

You will join this thriving team, deploying your technical and functional experience to help GS EMEA deliver technical and functional enhancements and product support to its existing clients, and assist in developing the core solution to mobilise to future clients. You will likely have software vendor experience with the product or have led a team that has developed and deployed Concept Evolution inhouse to operate at scale. You will be comfortable being a technical senior in a development team, working in an Agile environment and contributing toward product development. You will be client-facing and able to translate technical complexity into business language and vice versa.

The role is responsible to the Sr CAFM Development Lead for:

  • Developing technical specifications to deliver the requirements, or updating existing specifications where they exist.
  • Leading the development of technical solutions, using Workflow Pro for business rule automation, understanding of database schema for integration requirements.
  • Understanding and contributing toward data modelling and data management best practice within the product.
  • Documenting and undertaking unit testing of own development; assisting or overseeing the unit, System and integration testing and/pr regression testing of wider team’s development.
  • Leading on robust change and release management, including moving developments between environments and promotion of development to production environments, including documentation handover to service management and support colleagues.
  • Contributing to internal and external technical governance, change governance and project governance.
  • Assisting project management colleagues with project progress reporting, technical milestone reporting technical risk identification and mitigation.
  • Internal colleague relationship management and opportunity development.
  • Understanding current and industry best practices and developments in their domain and providing this intelligence back into the business.


Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Extensive experience writing code using SQL, VB, .NET, C#
  • Experience of API technologies and writing Restful APIs in JSON.
  • Degree qualified, preferably in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or similar experience within the process and/or systems.
  • Hold, have held or are eligible to apply for Security Clearance to CTC.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of and experience configuring Concept Evolution FM system (v.4.6 and above).
  • 3+Years practical experience of utilising the Concept Workflow Pro Module to code bespoke automation into Concept.
  • Experience in Installing, configuring Concept Evolution in on-premises environments.
  • Experience in Installing, configuring Concept Evolution in cloud environments (especially MS Azure).
  • Experience of working directly with client users, understanding requirements, and helping turn business requirements into functional requirements and build solutions.
  • Full UK driving licence.

The role can be based at Leatherhead or Swindon – 3 days a week in the office & 2 days a week remote.
