Machine Shop Operative shift work
Job Description
Main purpose
The role is split into days and afters shifts alternating on a weekly basis. On days you will be assembling racking units made from Sheet metal. On afters you will Produce sheet metal components on Trumpf TruPunch machine or pressed components on a Trumpf Trubend machine. Training will be given to Operate and Set both machines.
Key tasks
· Operate and set Trumpf TruPunch machines.
· Health and safety aware.
· General upkeep of the machine shop and premises to aid with the smooth running of the facility.
· Ad hoc duties as and when required.
· Complete job cards
· Assemble Racking from engineering drawings.
· General assembly using had tools.
Key Attributes
· CNC Machine experience is essential.
· Forklift truck license would be beneficial.
· A willingness to learn new skills, be hard working and a great work ethic.
· Effective communication and positive relations with employees at all levels within the organisation and external contacts including customers and suppliers.
· Be competent at working alone or as part of a team.
· Must have previous experience working as a CNC Machine Operator or have previous Sheet Metal or Machine Operation experience.
· The ability to interpret Engineering drawings, be able to work out a bending sequence and write a programme, have the ability to select the correct tooling and be able to Set and Operate the machine.
· Integrity.
· Confidentiality regarding all processes, data and information contained and discussed in the department.
· Be aware of all Company policies and Health and Safety procedures and practices.
