Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team based in Northampton. The ideal candidate will be a good team player, able to work under pressure, self- motivated, confident, and able to give direction to all colleagues, as well as being able to effectively perform all warehousing functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervising all phases of shipping and/or warehouse operations including shipping schedules, loading operations and material handling activities.
· Maintains inventory and product loss control, coordinates timely and accurate shipping and receiving, and ensures safety/operational guidelines are met.
· Ensure optimum levels of stock integrity are achieved through understanding of all processes and procedures of Warehouse Operations.
· In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, to manage effectively the day-to-day operation of the warehouse.
· Manage, motivate, coach and train the warehouse team.
· Deputise as necessary for the Warehouse Manager.
· Ensure the highest operational standards are always deployed and productivity targets are met.
· Receiving stock into the Company’s WMS system and dealing with any discrepancies.
· Investigating any customer order problems and resolving them on time.
· Ensuring warehouse opening/closing procedures are followed accurately and attend site in the event of an alarm activation.
· Communicating with Head Quarters in regards with Weekly and Quality Product Reports.
· Ensure warehouse space is utilized effectively and kept clean and orderly.
· Maintaining clean, organised, and safe working environment.
· Ensure all products are despatched in line with client’s specifications and picked in line with required Service Level Agreement standards.
· Ensure the handling of all products is carried out to the highest standards of Health and Safety, equally applying best practice to the protection and packaging of Customers orders to sustain transition through Carrier Networks.
· Ensure adequate supplies of consumable and packaging products are available to meet with all customer order dispatch requirements.
· In conjunction with the Warehouse Manager as required conduct structured interviews against pre-defined personal specification and job description requirements.
· Ensuring accurate records are maintained against all activity as required under Site Operating Procedures.
· Ensure all processes, daily checks, defect reporting, training, and operations of MHE are conducted in line with both Company and Legislative Health and Safety Requirements.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Own and other employees Health, Safety and Welfare.
· Supervision, guidance, support, instruction, and training for the development of skills, knowledge, and awareness relative to operational requirements, Health, Safety and Welfare of all staff within areas of responsibility.
· Carry out investigative processes and where appropriate take relevant action with regards to providing improvement to operational deficiencies, implementation of change, counselling, coaching or/and disciplinary action where deemed the appropriate course of action up to and including Recorded Verbal Warning.
· Support the commercial objectives of the business through a process of continual review and operational appraisal.
· Ensuring levels of housekeeping are maintained to the highest standards throughout areas of responsibility or/and where appropriate informing colleagues of improvement requirements where appropriate.
· Conduct RTW’s, Appraisals and PDP reviews where appropriate in line with MH Star standards
· Carry out any other duties, which from time to time may be reasonably requested from the site management team.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATION
· Experience of managing teams within a warehouse/production environment.
· Process oriented – an appreciation for specific client requirements.
· Adaptable & responsive to change – ability to monitor workflow and move workforce accordingly.
· Result oriented & Challenges situations – able to get on with task in hand but challenge where task given may not be most effective.
· Enthusiasm drive and a can-do attitude.
· Can communicate clearly to colleagues and managers.
· Able to work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
· Computer literate and able to follow complex instructions.
· Knowledge of supply chain management and related fields.
· Have excellent numeracy, literacy, and organisational skills.
· Delivering excellent customer service to clients who visit the warehouse.
· Experience of Excel and WMS.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures.
· Minimising stock loss.
· Be flexible with hours and able to work weekends.

Work Schedule :
You are required to be available any 5 from 7 shifts, although the main role will be supporting the warehouse manager, the hours are typically day shift hours you will be required to ensure the adequate coverage of the operation, which could include working at weekends and early or late shifts during the week. Flexibility is a must and all shifts will be pre agreed in advance with your manager.
