About us
We are a family-owned business specialising in drainage and environmental solutions using our modern fleet of vacuum tankers, high pressure jetting units and specialist support units. We have been trading since 1998 and our business has gone from strength to strength with big plans for growth in 2024.
The Company’s whole fleet is made up of bespoke fitted out vehicles. Our high-pressure jetting vans are fully marine ply-lined, and Line-X waterproofed. Complete with made to measure cabinetry and additional security fixtures. The vehicles have LED internal lights and beacons, handwash, inverter and camera systems to ensure the vehicle is comfortable and fit for all our needs.
Job description:
Due to expansion Mitchell Drainage is looking to employ a new drainage engineer to operate one of our high-pressure jetting vans on a permanent contract. The successful candidate will travel the UK completing drainage works, the list below is not restricted to or exhaustive off tasks to be undertaken.
- High pressure water jetting
- Clearing blockages
- Clearing Aco channels, gully pots and other drainage assets
- Mechanical drain cleaning
- Complete full site services with our Vacuum Tanker Fleet
- CCTV surveys (pushrod up to 9”)
- Drainage plans
- Any other drainage services
It is preferred that the candidates have previous experience in drainage works, but training can be given.
Hours of work:
Based on a basic 50-hour week (Monday – Friday) overtime is available on a rota basis.

Pay: From £12.25 per hour, also a bonus scheme is in place.

Required attributes:
- Positive attitude
- Good customer service skills
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Previous experience within the drainage industry
- Capability to be flexible with hours
- Hold a full driving licence
