Role Objective

We are recruiting for an Account Director who is an exceptional and driven media planner, to join our Connections Planning team working on the TJX (TK Maxx & Homesense) & Grow accounts. Grow@Mindshare is an arm of Mindshare that nurtures clients that are often newer to media that want a "agile, lean and faster," approach. Examples of clients within this team include Huel, Liquid IV, Zespri & Villa Maria Wines.

Your role, as one of our more senior planners will be focused on leading the planning and account management across these clients. You will get the opportunity to design exciting, award-winning campaigns as well as work with channel specialists to make those plans a reality. This involves everything from defining the approach to audience, designing the connections plan across both brand & performance using all relevant touchpoints as well as advising on media innovation and measurement. We have strong inter-agency relationships, working closely with creative, PR & experiential and influencer agencies and enjoying senior client exposure. The client offers the opportunity to deliver fresh ideas & push boundaries to continue their business growth. We have a very strong relationship with the client and are often seen as an extension of their team. Mindshare work on the TJX account globally, and whilst this role is UK specific there is a lot of collaboration between the teams.


About the role

You will be expected to demonstrate experience and knowledge in:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Great stakeholder management with both clients and agency alike (across both junior and senior levels).
  • Ability to work with clients to ensure the brief is right with clear and measurable objectives in place.
  • An ability to think and work ‘audience first’, translating audience insight into actionable audiences using a host of planning tools and partner data.
  • Specify how to build and target audiences in addressable and non-addressable media and validate the approach to ensure that the defined audience can be reached at the scale required.
  • Designing an approach that outlines how and where we will connect with defined audiences in media.
  • Designing the connections ecosystem & plan, working closely and collaboratively with channel specialists.
  • Day to day management of campaigns as a key liaison between clients and channel specialists.
  • Designing measurement & testing frameworks to inform as well as measure and optimise the campaigns.
  • Line management of junior member(s) of the planning team.
  • Contribution to the wider planning department driving collaboration and knowledge sharing.

SKILLS AND BEHAVIOURS:

  • You show a passion for media and the industry with knowledge of the main trends that help to inform your thinking and output.
  • You show a breadth of understanding of all media channels and can confidently discuss the role they play within a comms strategy as well as understanding how they are evolving in an increasingly complex and fragmented media landscape.
  • You can create a holistic measurement framework that is relevant for the brand and every campaign (setting KPIs, methods i.e., which tool/system, necessary tracking) and plans for adaptation/optimisation).
  • You are confident in presenting with passion and conviction, building and nurturing senior client relationships, running all agency team sessions / workshops and collaboratively leading client projects and tackling challenging conversations.
  • You are an excellent team player taking the responsibility for working in a collaborative, inclusive way to allow specialists to contribute.

About the planning department

The Connections Planning team plays a crucial role in designing the audiences, connections, content and measurement that deliver the most innovative and effective solutions to clients. To do this requires a team of people with a high degree of knowledge of the UK media market and a deep understanding of the role of technology in driving opportunities to target audiences, it’s impact on the connections and content that will engage people, and how media can be measured and optimised.

Members of the team understand consumer trends and are able to translate insights and strategic direction into actionable media solutions. They interact with a wide range of other teams including Intelligence and Strategic Planning, the specialist channel teams that execute the media, and the Live Planning team that optimises across all media channels.

Job Description

The Accounts Director role is to ensure the profitable, efficient and safe operation of cleaning contracts. Objective

The Account Director role will support the Business Director in the team with the day to day running of and overall AV strategic direction of the accounts. You will be responsible for the team’s buying output and planning AV campaigns from start to finish. We are looking for an experienced Account Director (Business Leadership) to join our growing Experiential & Commerce vertical. Our key accounts span the integrated experiential mix, with a common thread: whatever the brief, we strive to deliver compelling brand experiences that ultimately drive (trans)actions and are plugged into culture. We activate across B2C & B2B within the beauty, sports, retail & entertainment industries (to name a few).

/ WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Group Business Lead, you are the day-to-day contact and partner for our senior clients and cross-discipline internal teams, ensuring the smooth running of campaigns making sure they are delivered on time and with excellence. Commercially, you are accountable for delivering revenue & appropriate profitability associated with your areas of responsibility. You are comfortable working closely with strategy and creative teams, setting the tempo of the business and bringing clarity to the creative delivery. You will be looking to add value at all stages of campaigns and will be representing the agency on the world stage to help us build our growing reputation.

The role requires someone who can inspire and lead, but also offer best-in-class account handling and client servicing. Managing internal teams (both Business Leadership & other disciplines), ensuring efficient and best in class project/ campaign delivery, and working with the Group Business Lead to drive growth & secure the pipeline across the accounts. We’ve even built an award-winning Sims-like computer game that simulates how a Verizon’s network transforms supermarkets, factories and entertainment venues into becoming businesses of the future!


/ WHAT YOU’LL DO

As Account Director, you are responsible for the strategic leadership and execution of all elements of your client’s business, as well as act as a brand guardian. Commercially, you are accountable for delivering revenue & appropriate profitability associated with your areas of responsibility. The role requires someone who can inspire and lead but also offer best-in-class account handling and client servicing.

You and your team will sit at the centre of the action.   • Oversee a team to execute music and sport access benefits (e.g. ticketing) across Amex’s global entertainment partnerships (e.g. AEG, Wimbledon, F1)
  • Lead the strategic direction of American Express in ticket access across music and sport
