Job Description

Milk Education are working closely with a large ‘outstanding’ primary school based in Barnet who are looking for a SEND support Assistant to start with them immediately. The schools are incredibly supportive and pride themselves in creating plenty of opportunities for progression and CPD courses.

The right SEND support assistant will be an individual with a strong background supporting primary aged children with varying SEND needs.

SEND Support Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 and group basis
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions and key intervetions
  • Consistently support children in achieving their goals

SEND Support Assistant Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
