Senior Customer Experience Program Manager – Azure Data Engineering
Job Description
Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. Responsibilities
- Work with key regional customers as a local member of the Azure Data Product team, representing the team and assisting customers in adopting essential Azure Data services.
- Offer guidance and support to customers in delivering their projects on the Azure Data Platform.
- Act as the local representative of the Azure Data Product team, engaging with regional customers to gather feedback and advise on the feasibility of solutions and technology choices related to Azure Data Services.
- Assist customers with their Azure Data projects by imparting knowledge, sharing best practices, and enhancing their skills in relevant technologies, and offer troubleshooting support to their development teams as needed.
- Establish and maintain solid relationships with the technical organizations of customers, ensuring their success.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, and Business Development, to align on project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Keep stakeholders and leadership informed about project status and risks.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND extensive experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Synapse, SQL, Spark and other distributed computing technologies.
- Development experience as a data engineer / architect with data integration, data migration, and data warehousing.
- Customer-facing experience.
- Experience with data governance, data security is a plus.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Project management skills with experience managing large-scale, complex projects with cross-functional teams.
- Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
