Job Description

  • Oversee the regular servicing and maintenance of machinery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify and fix faults.
  • Document maintenance work and machine downtime.
  • Communicate with other departmental staff to ensure machinery is operational and efficient.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment.
  • Train other staff members on equipment operations and safe handling procedures.
  • Participate in the development of maintenance strategies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Shift Maintenance Engineer should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining industrial machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible for the effective use of time and utilities to achieve Overall Equipment Effectiveness targets.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and training skills.
  • Active participation in site inspections and safety initiatives.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Work with Engineer Supervisor to prioritise work orders.
