Electropolishing Operator – Day Shift

Job Description

MPE Ltd have one vacancy available to work in their electropolishing department. Working predominantly with stainless steel, the applicants need to be able to work well within a team setting and on their own. No prior knowledge of working in the metal work industry or use of electropolishing equipment is needed as full training is given.

The hours of work are 8am – 4pm Monday – Thursday & 6am – 1pm Friday. Overtime opportunities available on occasion.

Rate of pay – £11.50 per hour.

Holiday allowance of 28 days paid leave.

Responsibilities:
– Operate equipment to perform various tasks such as electropolishing, pickling, passivating and degreasing
– Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards
– Read and interpret basic drawings, and work instructions
– Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and dimensions
– Package finished products for shipment or storage
– Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:
– No previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is required as full training will be provided
– Proficiency in using basic hand tools
– Basic math skills for measurements and dimensions
– Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
– Ability to work independently or as part of a team
