Merkland Tank are looking for a Tanker Driver who will be responsible for a variety of tasks outside your vehicle, driving is only part of this excellent opportunity.

Class 1 or 2 LGV Driver – The Role:

· Working as part of the team, you’ll have responsibility for setting up hoses and setting up safely on customer sites to support your tank cleaning colleagues.

· You will be a part of a team working on essential infrastructure at commercial sites across mostly Scotland.

· Driver daily checks on vehicle and plant

· Ensure plant is operated in a safe and legal manner

· Setting up and stripping out job

· Operating Vacuum tankers, Liquid Ring tankers, Cyclovac and Jet Vac

· Removal and disposal of waste and clean out tanker

· Flexibility as there can be early starts, late finishes and weekend work

· Working away from home when required

Class 1 or 2 LGV Driver – What we need from you:

· You must be an experience Tanker Driver

· You must be physically fit and healthy to pass a medical and able to get security clearance at MOD sites

· Along with your Driver CPC and tachograph knowledge, you’ll need experience of working with hazardous waste

· LGV 1 or 2 and Driver CPC

· Operating Vacuum tankers

· ADR both tanks and packages – advantage

· Water Jetting – advantage

· Confined Space with rescue – advantage

Please Note: The above skills are advantageous but full training will be given to the right candidate.
