Job Summary:
Join our team as a Senior Nursery Practitioner at our well-established nursery, dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children.
We are seeking an experienced individual with a passion for childcare and leadership skills to oversee daily operations and ensure the well-being of children under their care. You must have previous Preschool age experience.
Responsibilities:
– Provide high-quality care for children, including feeding, bathing, and dressing, as well as teaching basic social skills and hygiene.
– Create a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn through play and exploration.
– Organize and facilitate age-appropriate activities to promote children’s development.
– Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the individual needs of each child are met.
– Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and daily routines.
– Ensure the cleanliness and organization of nursery rooms and play areas.
– Implement health and safety protocols to guarantee the well-being of all children in the nursery.
Experience:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nursery Practitioner
– Preschool or toddler experience of working in a nursery setting
– Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff members.
– Previous experience working in a nursery setting is highly desirable.
** You MUST hold a full and relevant Early Years and childcare qualification at Level 3 or above**
Megalo Recruit are looking to recruit a Senior Nursery Practitioner for this well established, private day nursery close to Watford, Hertfordshire.
Hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 8am to 6pm, all year round, on a shift pattern.
Salary is negotiable, depending upon experience and qualifications, starting at £26,000 pa and up to £30,000 pa depending upon role, qualifications and experience.
Located in the HP postcode of Hertfordshire, but easily accessible by car from Hemel, Watford, Bushey and surrounding areas. Does have free parking on site for drivers.

Skills and experience required include:
- An Early Years Level 3 Qualification or equivalent
- Full and relevant Early Years qualifications
- Offer practical and up to date knowledge in best practice, safeguarding and compliance to support day to day operations
- Solid knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
