Medsolve is proud to be supporting a successful family-run business who are a top care home provider based in the North East of England who are currently recruiting for a Health Care Assistant to work in their care home based in Newcastle.

Your duties as a Health Care Assistant will include:
- Assist in the provision of care.
- Ensure residents retain their dignity and individuality.
- Act as a role model for the other care staff.
- Build up good relationships with the residents.
- To assist residents to carry out their activities of daily living e.g. washing, dressing, eating and bathing.
- Dispense medication and ensure correct recording of all relevant information relating to medication (after satisfactory completion of the Safe Handling of Medicines course).
- Complete, observe & review care planning needs for residents.
- Complete and maintain accurate and legible records as instructed and in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
About you, the ideal Health Care Assistant:
· Great communication skills both written and verbal.
- Previous experience within the care industry.
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
- Satisfactory DBS check, and check against the ISA List (where applicable)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
Our client’s homes provide general nursing care, specialist dementia units and care of young people with physical disability.

Pay: £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
