Job Title: Health Care Assistant (HCA)
Location: South Eastern Trust, Northern Ireland
Job Summary: The Health Care Assistant (HCA) is a crucial member of the healthcare team, providing compassionate care and support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, community care, and residential facilities. The HCA ensures a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for all patients while assisting with daily living activities and basic healthcare needs. To have at least 6 months working experience in NHS Hospitals, and to reside in United Kingdom
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure) and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Aid patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Support the nursing team with basic medical procedures and documentation as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide reassurance and information.
- Assist in the administration of medications under supervision as required.
- Participate in care planning and contribute to the evaluation of patient progress.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract
Pay: £14.70-£19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 66 per week

Experience:
- Nursing: 1 year (preferred)
