Medivet South Harrow is a friendly and cheerful practice of 3 full time veterinarians, providing a positive working environment for our team.
The clinic is led by lovely branch partner and vet, Nicola. Nicola qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2009 and has been with Medivet since qualifying. Nicola trained our current assistant vet as part of the residency programme, and after 3.5 years our assistant vet is moving onto pastures new overseas so we are recruiting for her replacement. We also have a recent graduate vet, Chloe, who joined our team this year, she knows the clinic very well as she has been here on work experience since the age of 16!
We have a brilliant, experienced Head Nurse, RVN, who has been with the team since 2012 and 3 amazing, proactive student nurses and a receptionist to complete the team.

Job Description

£50,000 per year.
The Opportunity
Medivet Yeading is in the enviable position of being very recently refurbished to a lovely high standard. We boast two consult rooms, plus a separate nurse consult, a huge prep room (we often joke about hosting Pilates classes!) as well as a spacious waiting area, a designated imaging room, refurbished theatre with new ultrasound, dental and radiography machines and staff room; it really is a lovely space to work in!
Our out of hours service is provided by our emergency hospital in Richmond, which boasts a full CT suite and more! Medivet also offers outstanding career progression, including post-graduate study and branch partnership.
Our experienced team, consisting of a Head Nurse, patient and client care team are all passionate about delivering an excellent service to our clients and looking after one another.
We have a great relationship with close by Medivet practices and support is always available for those tricky cases (medical or surgical), so whilst it is a sole charge position there is still plenty of assistance if needed.
We have a high number of cats in the area and have a high caseload of feline neutering as we also currently participate in the London charity neutering schemes!
This is a great opportunity to lead and support a small team who work together to provide a high-quality level of service to our clients. Within this position you will have a varied caseload with interesting cases. You will have the opportunity to shape and grow our practice, whilst providing a vital and much appreciated service for local pets.
This is a Part time role working up to 30 hours per week alongside 1:6 weekends.
