Care Supervisor

Location: Sheffield
Reports To: Registered Manager
Pay: £28,000 to £29,000 per year

Join our home care team in Sheffield and lead a dedicated group of care professionals committed to delivering exceptional, person-centred care.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Support the Registered Manager in the daily management of our home care service.
  • Ensure adherence to regulations, policies, and procedures to safeguard client and staff well-being.
  • Lead and support Care Support Workers to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay updated with relevant regulations and implement best practices.
  • Communicate policies, processes, and goals to the care team.
  • Provide leadership to ensure clients receive excellent care and staff are well-managed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, healthcare providers, and families.
  • Assess client care needs, create and review care plans, and conduct service reviews.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate care records, ensuring respect for clients’ rights.
  • Respond promptly to changes in clients’ conditions and staff reports.
  • Attend consultations for new clients, conduct assessments, and support onboarding.
  • Handle client concerns, incidents, and feedback according to policies.
  • Manage and supervise Care Support Workers, handling performance, appraisals, training, and disciplinary matters.
  • Participate in the on-call rota for emergency support.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Level 3 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Essential: Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Health and Social Care and 1 year in a senior role.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, and related applications.
