Job Overview
McLaren Resourcing is seeking a qualified PTS Telecommunications Supervisor with extensive experience in railway telecommunications systems. This role is crucial for overseeing telecom installations, maintenance, and upgrades within the rail sector, ensuring all work aligns with stringent safety and operational standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising on-site teams, coordinating project timelines, and liaising with stakeholders to guarantee project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision & Coordination: Lead and manage telecoms teams on-site (2 days per week), ensuring project goals and deadlines are met effectively.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including adherence to railway safety standards and PTS (Personal Track Safety) requirements.
- Project Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, safety logs, and quality assessments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with clients, contractors, and team members to coordinate tasks and resolve any on-site issues efficiently.
- Installation & Maintenance: Oversee the installation, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications systems, such as fibre optics, GSM-R, and radio systems.
- This role would suit someone who is looking to move up to Project Management
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 Years PTS Comms Supervisor Experience Essential
- SSSTS
- Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification is essential.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for team coordination and stakeholder management.
- Thorough understanding of railway telecom systems, including copper, fibre, and wireless networks.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
