Husband and wife team, Dick and Pauline Beijen, brought their flock of sheep during the summer of 2008 as the first step into their idea of creating natural British wool duvets. Initially, the challenge was to develop high-quality 100% British wool duvets that had a super soft drape and would give an amazing sleep experience. Working with local farmers (many of whom we still with work today), and the British Wool organisation to get high-quality wool, Dick and Pauline embarked on over a year of development work – the latter
part of which was filmed by Channel 4 with Monty Don in his series ‘My Dream Farm’. Commercial production started in 2010 with Dick and Pauline supplying top UK retailer John Lewis & Partners. Since then, Devon Duvets has continued to grow and has developed Limited Edition alpaca wool duvets, our Botanic range, made from 100% plant-based materials, together with Little Lana, a wool bedding range for children.
