MAG is the largest UK-owned airport operator, supporting circa 130,000 jobs across its complex supply chain. The organisation owns three key airports: Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands. In 2022 as part of its commercial and digital strategy, MAG launched a new global distribution subsidiary company, CAVU. This is the union of MAGO, MAG USA and our network of direct-to-consumer brands – who together drive market leading passenger spend for airports across the world – we have combined our resources to address evolving passenger needs today and exceed them as we move forward into tomorrow. Pre-book, online or in the airport, our solutions make travel more seamless and enjoyable for passengers and more profitable for our clients and partners. Additionally, MAG has a property division comprising offices, hangars, warehouses and terminals.
The ownership structure is a combination of public and private investors: Manchester City Council (35.5%), IFM Global Infrastructure Fund (35.5%), and nine other local authorities from across the Greater Manchester area (29%).
