Moore Care Limited was formed in 1994 by Jim and Trishia Ashcroft on Manchester Road in Buxton. Through close working links with Manchester Social Services and Derbyshire County Council, Moore Care soon built up a reputation for a high level of care. We currently supply support to over 40 people with Learning Difficulties in Buxton.
Moore Care aims to provide a home within the community backed up by the highest standard of care. Care packages are tailored to individuals’ needs and regular assessments take account of service users’ views.
We particularly believe in making extensive use of the local community and community facilities on offer. We have found an abundance of activities in and around Buxton including work experience with local companies, courses at the University of Derby and a wide range of other activities all tailored to each service user’s interests.
We pride ourselves in never having to use agency staff as we believe providing a high level of care requires a high level of commitment and consistency that only permanent staffing can provide. We have managed this with the help of a very flexible team. Members of staff are selected with a view to providing a team highly committed to improving the quality of life for all our service users.
Moore Care is now an EOT (Employee Ownership Trust).
