<p>Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Material Controller to work for this established Distribution Company in Stevenage.</p>
<p>They serve the world&rsquo;s leading OEM and EMS companies with global product sourcing and traceability, electronic product design, logistics &amp; supply-chain management as well as in-house anti-counterfeit testing and product obsolescence management.</p>
<p>This role is based in a clean and bright warehouse environment, where you will be working in a close-knit team. It would be helpful to have racking experience, but this would be a bonus and for the right person this can be trained.</p>
<p><b>Duties:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Follow SOPs for all material processes</li>
<li>Ensure safe working practice for self and others</li>
<li>Picking, Verification and Packing, which require great attention to detail</li>
<li>Inventory Checking</li>
<li>Preparation of orders for shipping to customers. This includes checking and labelling stock to ensure it is correct</li>
<li>Goods receiving to ensure quantities, paperwork and parts adhere to the system/customers&rsquo; order</li>
<li>Report any problems, system, procedural or practical to team leader</li>
</ul>
<p><b>The Ideal Person:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>You must be a great team player, collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a great team working atmosphere</li>
<li>Warehouse experience</li>
<li>Attention to detail but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture</li>
<li>Commercial awareness</li>
<li>Customer service</li>
<li>Organisation, prioritising and the ability to handle a varied workload</li>
<li>A good knowledge of IT packages &#8211; You must have a good working knowledge of Outlook and the ability to learn other core applications as required.</li>
<li>Experience of general office administration tasks</li>
<li>Good interpersonal and team working skills &ndash; communicate well</li>
<li>Able to work under pressure ensuring accuracy and attention to detail</li>
<li>Must have a valid UK driving licence</li>

<p>My client has just won a major new client and are expanding their team as a result. This role is very much about building relationships with clients and getting to see them face to face is an important part of this role. There are no sales involved and you will have an existing portfolio to develop and manage.</p>
<p>The role pays a basic salary of <b>&pound;26k plus a &pound;3k bonus and comes with a company car</b>, (the bonus is guaranteed for one year and after that is very achievable &ndash; most people achieve the full bonus).</p>
<p><b>The ideal candidate will be:</b></p>

<p>There is a huge earning potential in this role as well as progression opportunity. This is about developing existing business with your customers and having the ability to pick up on buying signals from them, as well as finding out about new projects and builds, as well as other key contacts within the business. You will be proactive and able to build customer rapport, so that the customer thinks of you as their main supplier, rather than one of your competitors. You will also be proactive in following up on high volumes of leads that come in through various channels and engaging with new prospects. Therefore, it is essential that you come have strong B2B account management experience.</p>
