Company Secretarial Assistant</b></p>
</p>

In this role reporting into the Company Secretary, you will be predominantly providing board and committee support for all MRSG entities in the UK. You will ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements and provide advice on corporate governance and relevant regulatory matters and be responsible for the accurate production of meeting minutes.</p>
</p>
<p><b><br />
Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>
Responsible for establishing, advising on, maintaining, embedding and advocating robust and proportionate corporate governance, reflecting industry standards and best practice, at both Board and Committee levels, including:</li>
<li>
Company secretarial functions relating to certain committees by ensuring effective preparation for, administration of, and follow-up of all meetings;</li>
<li>
Supporting and coordinating Board self-effectiveness reviews;</li>
<li>
Co-ordinating and submitting filings to Companies House</li>
<li>
Ensure the smooth operation of the Boards, Board Committees and sub-committees, including: meeting planning, logistics, agenda setting, maintenance of the forward calendar; paper compilation, review for governance purposes, and distribution; and attendance at relevant meetings for minuting.</li>
<li>
Support in the arranging of regulatory meetings requested by Lloyd&rsquo;s, FCA, PRA and other regulators as appropriate.</li>
<li>
Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.</li>
<li>
To undertake any ad-hoc projects and activities as and when required.</li>
</ul>

Knowledge and Skills</b></p>

ICSA part-qualified. <i>(Preferred but not essential)</i></li>

Ideally at least 3 year&rsquo;s previous company secretarial experience, to include: company administration, board/committee support (including minute writing).</li>

Insurance or financial services experience.</li>

Excellent communication skills &ndash; written and oral, with experience communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including senior stakeholders.</li>

Senior Cargo Underwriter</b></p>
</p>
<p>
We are currently looking for a Senior Cargo Underwriter to be based in London on a full-time basis, reporting into the Cargo Underwriting Manager.</p>
</p>
<p>
You will support the Cargo Underwriting Manager in the effective management of the Cargo book within Global Specialty Insurance. You will ensure prudent underwriting of quality business in line with the business plan to facilitate maximum return of profit while maintaining the firm&rsquo;s reputation and integrity, demonstrating care for customers and respect for the regulatory obligations of the firm.</p>
</p>
<p><b><br />
Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p>
</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in the creation and delivery of the business plan for the Cargo team and be a driving force of the underwriting, accountable for ensuring targeted income levels are met throughout the year and growth targets are met year-on-year.</li>
<li>
Underwrite new and renewal Cargo risks, exercising judgement in all underwriting matters, and remain aware of own underwriting limits as set out on the Underwriting Authority sheet, all in accordance with Underwriting business plan;</li>
<li>
Ensure the effective management of cargo business, including performance, EPI monitoring, referrals, bordereaux management, rate movement, claims trends, regular reviews, underwriter visits and audits</li>
<li>
Service existing contracts and open market risks, and make amendments in line with the Syndicate&rsquo;s underwriting philosophy;</li>
<li>
Conduct and develop effective relationships with peers, clients, coverholders and brokers, with a view to retaining quality business and securing new business that falls within the Munich Re Specialty Group appetite for Cargo</li>
<li>
Oversee the development and training (technical and non-technical) of junior members of the team, driving their progress and knowledge, including shadowing their work on new tasks and increased underwriting responsibilities.</li>
<li>
Work collaboratively and engage regularly with the teams in the Service Companies to ensure adherence to the global product approach of MRSGM
</li>
<li>Establish and run projects and initiatives such as new sub-classes and products to serve clients and diversify the portfolio from both a risk and income perspective.</li>
<li>
Conduct book review as well as regular monitoring and portfolio management to ensure the business plan is being executed.
</li>
<li>Monitor recording of all aggregate and reporting information as follows:</li>
</ul>

Aggregates:</i></b></p>

Monitor on weekly basis, or as instructed;</li>
<li>
Review and forward to Exposure Management on a quarterly basis.</li>

Undertake quarterly collation of RDS aggregates from all classes of business;</li>

Apply aggregates to reinsurance program for Board review;</li>

Maintain full audit trail for all the above in line with MRSG&rsquo;s procedures manual.</li>

Provide Analytical Support as follows:</li>
</ul>

S2000 &ndash; risk entry report production using MS Excel; Use of S2000 Adhoc reporting feature.</li>
<li>
Supervise the Underwriting Assistants in monitoring of income flows (late premiums/adjustments etc) and work closely with the Credit Control team</li>
<li>
Provide management reports as and when required.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>
Review slips and/or other information/literature, exercising own judgment, based on knowledge and experience, acting within own limits of authority at all times.</li>
<li>
Make written records of conversations with customers, both internal and external, in accordance with MRSG&rsquo;s procedures manual.</li>
<li>
Negotiate new wordings and structures, ensuring clients&rsquo; needs are serviced and regulatory requirements met, whilst preserving a prudent risk appetite, in line with the syndicate and team&rsquo;s underwriting strategy.
</li>
<li>Ensure that company procedures and systems are followed and maintained, as per procedure and compliance manuals.</li>
<li>
Ensure that all contract certainty issues are addressed for all relevant risks;</li>
<li>
Review and administer existing contracts and make amendments in line with MRSGM&rsquo;s underwriting philosophy;</li>
<li>
Monitor recording of risk entry and amend where appropriate;</li>
<li>
Ensure that Peer Review Group see appropriate information and respond to PRG queries relating to the Cargo Account;</li>
<li>
Be aware of, and take ownership of, the potential risks facing the business within own job role and the controls that are in place to mitigate them; and report all significant changes in these risks, or</li>

This role focuses on personal lines initially with increasingly more focus on specialty commercial lines business in line with MRSG&rsquo;s strategy.</p>

Responsibilities</b></p>

Support the rate deployment in pricing tools and investigations on its accuracy.</li>

Support the pricing team in achieving high standards of work, including technical rating of all risks and regular monitoring of Delegated underwriting contracts.</li>

Analyse pricing model data including parameter validations, including lead investigations of alternative data sources for parameterisation of pricing models</li>

Support in depth portfolio analyses and performance management and present results to a variety of stakeholders</li>

Support risk segmentation analysis and recommendation of price change proposals to achieve business targets.</li>

Support for business and technical planning process.</li>

Support profitability exercises using modelling and reserving techniques as required.</li>

We are currently looking for an Underwriter to be based in London on a full-time basis, reporting into the Head of Renewables.</p>

Senior Terrorism &amp; Political Violence Underwriter</b></p>
<p>

<p>We are currently looking for a Senior Underwriter to be based in Londin on a full-time basis, reporting into the Group Head of Terrorism &amp; PV.</p>
</p>
<p>
You to ensure the prudent underwriting of quality business in line with the business plan to facilitate maximum return of profit while maintaining the firm&rsquo;s reputation and integrity, demonstrating care for customers and respect for the regulatory obligations of the firm.</p>
</p>
<p><b><br />
Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p>
</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in the creation and delivery of the business plan for the Political Violence team and be a driving force of the underwriting, accountable for ensuring targeted income levels are met throughout the year and growth targets are met year-on-year.</li>
<li>
Underwrite Political Violence risks, exercising judgement in all underwriting matters, and remain aware of own underwriting limits as set out on the Underwriting Authority sheet, all in accordance with Underwriting business plan;</li>
<li>
Establish and run projects and initiatives such as new sub-classes and products to serve clients and diversify the portfolio from both a risk and income perspective.</li>
<li>
Conduct book review as well as regular monitoring and portfolio management to ensure the business plan is being executed.</li>
<li>
Monitor recording of all aggregate and reporting information.</li>
<li>
Review slips and/or other information/literature, exercising own judgment, based on knowledge and experience, acting within own limits of authority.</li>
<li>
Make written records of all conversations with customers, both internal and external, in accordance with the firm&rsquo;s procedures manual.</li>
<li>
Negotiate new wordings and structures, ensuring clients&rsquo; needs are serviced and regulatory requirements met, whilst preserving a prudent risk appetite, in line with the syndicate and team&rsquo;s underwriting strategy.</li>
<li>
Ensure that company procedures and systems are followed and maintained, as per procedure and compliance manuals.</li>
<li>
Ensure that all contract certainty issues are addressed for all relevant risks;</li>
<li>
Review and administer existing contracts and make amendments in line with MRSG&rsquo;s underwriting philosophy;</li>
<li>
Monitor recording of risk entry and amend where appropriate;</li>
<li>
Ensure that Peer Review Group see appropriate information and respond to PRG queries relating to the Political Violence Account.</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Senior Pricing Analyst</b></p>
<p>
We are looking to employ a Senior Pricing Analyst to be based in London, Manchester or Birmingham and to work with us on a full-time basis. You will support the provision of actuarial pricing support to MRSL.</p>
</p>
<p><b><br />
Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>
Effectively manage, mentor and support junior analyst as required, including managing their time, providing training and reviewing their work as required</li>
<li>
Work independently on individual pricing assessments of large risks and binder reviews, including clear communication of results to the underwriters</li>
<li>
Support pricing team in achieving the high standards as indicated within the Lloyd&rsquo;s oversight framework, including technical rating of all risks and regular monitoring of Delegated underwriting contracts</li>
<li>
Construction, review and maintenance of pricing models for varied classes of business</li>
<li>
Analysis of pricing model data including parameter validations</li>
<li>
Support for syndicate business planning process</li>
<li>
Production and review of pricing management information</li>
<li>
New business initiative analyses and independent reviews</li>
<li>
Investigation and utilisation of alternative data sources for parameterisation of pricing models</li>
<li>
Support underwriting within depth portfolio analyses and performance management</li>
<li>
Ensure all advice offered is in line with TAS requirements</li>
<li>
Help drive forward good Conduct for the business to deliver the best outcomes for customers / policyholders.</li>
<li>
Understand all appropriate lines of escalation and the responsibilities of the Product Conduct Risk Strategy Group (PCRSG), Underwriting &amp; Claims Sub Committee (UCSC), ExCo and Board for Conduct Risk.</li>
</ul>
<p><b><br />
Knowledge and Skills</b></p>
<ul>
<li>
Pricing experience in the London Market</li>
<li>
Experience with Marine and/or Specialty insurance an advantage</li>
<li>
Highly developed mathematical / statistical knowledge in (re)insurance</li>
<li>
Effective communication skills and ability to translate complex models in business terms</li>
<li>
Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>
Team player and willingness to train junior members in the team</li>
<li>
Detailed knowledge of actuarial methods and techniques, and the ability to apply them in practice, making reasoned judgements within a business environment</li>
<li>
Knowledge of a range of modelling techniques and applications for pricing</li>
<li>
Current Lloyd&rsquo;s market knowledge</li>
<li>
Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of any pricing related matters.</li>
<li>
Knowledge and understanding of FCA regulations and Lloyd&rsquo;s standards</li>
<li>
Knowledge and understanding of the underlying principles of insurance and reinsurance</li>
<li>
Education and Professional Qualifications Required / (preferred)</li>
<li>
University degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics or similar discipline.</li>
