As a Mechanical Engineer within our Packaging Team at Shieldhall, you will play a critical role in driving efficiency and making a positive impact on our operations by:</div>

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who:</div>

SVQ Level 3 is minimum requirement with a recognised hands-on apprenticeship or equivalent</li>

Experience in data analysis, use of applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and business systems such as SAP</li>
<li>

Day to day responsibilities include:</div>

Owning the lifecycle from demand to pay.</li>

<li>
Tracking and improving against a backdrop of KPI&rsquo;s aligned to internal and external customer requirements using analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.</li>
<li>
Conducting supplier visits both internally and externally to audit suppliers within the UK and abroad to evaluate capability, capacity, and process control.</li>

Product Management Introduction:</div>

The Graduate Product Management Engineer (GPME), as part of the Product Management team, will be heavily involved in supporting systems sales efforts and setting the product roadmaps. Starting with qualifying the sales opportunity, the GPME will be answering questions from the sales team/customer, responding to customer specifications and visiting customer sites to progress the sales prospect.</div>

In the factory the GPME will, alongside Process Engineers, manage customer demos, and when circumstances allow, host live demos with customers on site. As the SPTS Division of KLA, we design, develop and manufacture high-tech capital equipment for the semiconductor and related global markets. You&rsquo;ll be joining one of our Engineering teams, providing operational support and solutions from our head office in Newport as well as being given opportunity for you to travel supporting customers and suppliers, involving travel throughout Europe, Asia, and USA.</div>

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:</div>

Developing and demonstrating our operational processes to meet the agreed manufacturing specifications</li>
<li>
Contributing constructively to the work of our project teams in developing new products that meet the requirements of our global customer for their next generation designs.</li>
<li>
Assessing results using our fully equipped analytical laboratory and software tools including Minitab, Excel etc.</li>
<li>
Problem solving, trouble shooting and investigating faults on manufacturing process solutions</li>
<li>
Providing regular updates to the engineering and operations teams on progress of project work, where required summarising results in a written report or presentation.</li>
<li>
Establishing both effective customer and team relationships particularly for clear communication of results and ideas</li>
<li>
Planning your work and executing plans in a safe, sensible and timely manner</li>

This position may require working some shift patterns to fully utilise our state-of-the-art manufacturing cleanroom and maintaining continuous Production. We will seek to give as much notice as possible where travel or shift work are required. SPTS will of course provide travel expenses and a shift allowance in line with company policy.</div>
