This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week). We typically work from 09:00 – 17:30 from Monday to Friday, though we can be flexible around this, just let us know.

We’re ideally looking for someone in/around Edinburgh, though we’re open to the possibility of this being a remote role (as long as you’re in the UK). We’re making the most of hybrid working, so you won’t need to come into the office everyday (unless you want to!).

We don’t mandate required office time, but we find that most of the team enjoy working from home 3-4 days a week, and come into our office to connect with each other, make use of space, and for meetings.

Join the team!

Equality of opportunity is more than just a responsibility: we believe it’s a huge advantage to welcome a variety of experiences and perspectives into the team. Diversity is a great asset and, as such, we strongly encourage applications from any background.

This is your opportunity to really influence how we get things done, and how our product develops to meet our customers’ needs. We’re doing well, but there’s lots more to do in order to maintain the high bar and pace that we’ve set.

If your experience isn’t an exact match for this job description, but you have transferrable skills/experience that you think would be a great fit, please outline this in a cover letter. Everyone here is growing personally as the company grows, so if that sounds like something you’d like to be part of, we’d love to see your application. We are also currently hiring across the Engineering department, with roles at different levels – all open opportunities can be found on our careers page: https://dayshape.com/careers/

*Please note the successful candidate for this role will be subject to background checks and will have an opportunity to declare anything to us beforehand*

Who We Are; What We Do; Where We’re Going

Magnet Forensics is a global leader in the development of digital investigative software that acquires, analyzes, and shares evidence from computers, smartphones, tablets, and IoT-related devices. We are continually innovating so our customers can deploy advanced and effective tools to protect their companies, communities, and countries.

Serving over 4,000 customers in over 100 countries, our solutions are playing a crucial role in modernizing digital investigations, helping investigators fight crime, protect assets, and guard national security.

With employees based around the world, Magnet Forensics has been expanding our global presence with offices in Waterloo and Ottawa, Canada; Atlanta, GA, Herndon, VA, Westminster, CO; and Singapore. As a part of Magnet Forensics, you can expect to make a difference in the world, no matter what role you play. You’ll be supported through learning and development, not to mention an incredible team with unbelievable talent and integrity.

If you think you would be the right person to join our team working towards this goal, we would love to hear from you!

Your Role

At Magnet Forensics, the Sales Development Reps are the frontlines of the Customer experience. Working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a key player in our strategic growth plans. Through a combination of top of funnel activities, including both inbound lead response and outbound prospecting, the SDR will generate and qualify sales opportunities for our Account Executives. The most exciting part of this role is the opportunity for growth. At Magnet Forensics, successful SDRs will learn the fundamentals of Sales and Marketing, providing a foundation for a career in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and more!

What You Will Accomplish

Qualify all sales leads generated by marketing, based on defined lead qualification criteria.

Leverage prospecting strategies, including phone, email, and social networking to connect with prospective customers, identify their needs and challenges, and qualify their interest.

Work closely with our sales team (Account Executives) to schedule discovery meetings with sales ready leads/prospects.

Leverage a variety of marketing and sales tools that will be available for your use, to maximize your efficiency and effectiveness, including Prospecting tools (ex. SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator) and Marketing Automation tools (ex. Pardot).

Manage new contacts via our CRM platform (Salesforce) to ensure accuracy for long term pipeline development.

Provide friendly and knowledgeable service to prospects on a consistent basis and build strong relationships.

Work as part of a cross-functional team and build strong relationships across the organization.

The primary focus of this role is Inbound Lead Response (75%) with additional attention on Outbound Prospecting (25%).

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, than to find folks who have ‘been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.

There are a few must haves, but we will keep that list short:

You have 2+ years’ experience in sales or customer service roles, and can work under pressure.

You have a University degree or College diploma in Business, Marketing or equivalent, and leverage it to be a critical thinker that enjoys solving complex challenges.

You have strong analytical, relational and negotiation skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.

You are goal-oriented and full of drive, with an innate desire to succeed.

You are passionate about developing new skills and building a network of peers & mentors.

The Most Important Thing

We’re looking for candidates that can provide examples of how they have demonstrated Magnet CODE in their previous experiences:

CARE – We care about each other and our mission to make a difference in the world.

OWN – We are accountable for our results – while never forgetting to act with integrity, empathy, and respect.

DEDICATE – We put our heart and soul into meeting the needs of our customers and helping them serve the people they protect.

EVOLVE – We are constantly innovating and exploring new ways to work together to make an impact with our work.
