<p><b>Position Details</b></p>
<p>Camp operates weekly in July and August from 8:30am &ndash; 4:00pm (with extended care from 8:00am until 5:00pm) Monday to Friday. This summer, camp will operate for 8 weeks dependent on the location. We are hiring Site Directors for the following camps:</p>
<p><b>Locations</b></p>
<p>The Site Director will be responsible for overseeing the following locations:</p>
<p>&#8211; North York: Bond Park (120 Bond Avenue, M3B 1C9)<br />&#8211; Leaside: Bennington Heights (76 Bennington Heights Drive, M4G 1B1)<br />&#8211; Oshawa: The Yard (870 Taunton Rd W, Oshawa, ON L1L 0P1)</p>
<p><b>Contract Length</b></p>
<p>The Site Director is a full-time position with two possible term lengths:</p>
<p>&#8211; 2-Months: From June 2 &ndash; August 22<br />&#8211; 4-Months: From May 5 &ndash; August 22</p>
<p><b>Work Hours</b></p>
<p>Office Hours (Pre-Camp)</p>
<p>Our office is usually open from 9:00am &ndash; 5:00pm Monday to Friday. However, there will be some duties performed outside of these hours on weekends and evenings, depending on availability.</p>
<p>Camp Hours (July &amp;amp; August)</p>
<p>You will be required to be on-site from 8:00am &ndash; 4:00pm Monday to Friday (including July 1 and August 4); however, there will be some duties performed outside of these hours (mostly remotely).</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>At each site, we have between 1-2 sports camps operating daily. The Site Director is responsible for overseeing daily camp operations, and supervising and mentoring the Program Directors (who are responsible for the staff and campers at each individual camp). Furthermore, the Site Director is responsible to assisting staff with camper and parent issues. As a Site Director, you are responsible for the holistic management of your sites with the support of the Program Directors and Camp Leadership Team. More specifically, Site Directors have responsibilities both on-site and off-site, which include, but are not limited to, the following:</p>
<p>Pre-Camp (May &amp;amp; June &ndash; Full-Time)</p>
<p>&#8211; Attendance at both leadership staff training (currently scheduled to take place on May 31/June 1) and coaches training (currently scheduled to take place on June 21/22). Attendance at staff-training is mandatory; dates subject to change<br />&#8211; Work with the Program Directors to create and update camp programming (daily and weekly)<br />&#8211; Assist with the planning and execution of staff training (including our supplemental training specific to on-site leadership staff)<br />&#8211; Assist the Program Directors to ensure that all equipment and supplies are purchased, stored and organized at camp<br />&#8211; Support the Program Directors with general camp preparation (including, for example, answering questions, goal setting, schedule planning, etc.)<br />&#8211; Prepare any policies, procedures and any emergency documents for your site<br />&#8211; Attend marketing events to help promote our camps<br />&#8211; Participate in the execution of spring clinics</p>
<p>During Camp (July &amp;amp; August &ndash; Full-Time)</p>
<p><i>Staff Management</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Effectively manage, support and mentor the Program Directors of each camp (including executing formal performance reviews and exit interviews)<br />&#8211; Active involvement with the Program Directors&rsquo; management of Assistant Directors and staff (including assisting with staff evaluations)<br />&#8211; Provide on-site leadership staff with informal ongoing feedback and instruction<br />&#8211; Ensure that Program Directors are effectively communicating with their staff and camper parents<br />&#8211; Facilitate regular meetings of the on-site leadership staff &ndash; set expectations for all and encourage personal growth<br />&#8211; Manage the site staff schedule and communicate any changes that are made</p>
<p><i>Programming</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Review camp programming throughout the summer to ensure that all activities are safe, inclusive, fun and challenging for the campers</p>
<p><i>Camper and Family Interactions</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Assist staff as needed with any camper care or parent communications issues<br />&#8211; Assist the camp office with managing parent relationships</p>
<p><i>First Aid and Camp Safety</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Assist staff in administering first aid and managing health/safety issues on-site<br />&#8211; Ensure camp-wide policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all staff (including phones/tablets away during camp, regular headcounts, garbage pick-up, etc.)</p>
<p><i>Facility and Equipment</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Manage the relationship with our permit contact and resolve any facility issues as they arise<br />&#8211; Ensure that camp equipment, supplies, t-shirts and prizes are tracked and organized across the site</p>
<p><b>Experience and Skills</b></p>
<p>&#8211; Strong leadership and communication skills developed through previous supervisory roles along with the ability to provide exceptional customer service<br />&#8211; Experience developing programs and activities for children in a management or supervisory capacity<br />&#8211; Experience working in a leadership role or capacity at a day or overnight camp<br />&#8211; Experience planning, managing and operating major events or more specifically camps<br />&#8211; Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills: ability to establish rapport and maintain excellent communication with campers, parents, and coaches<br />&#8211; Experience playing and coaching team sports <b>AND/OR</b> extensive experience working with young children in a supervisory role as a teacher or early childhood educator<br />&#8211; <b>Access to a car is required</b><br />&#8211; Ability to encourage and motivate staff, and to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of others<br />&#8211; <i>Site Directors will be required to become</i> certified <i>for Standard First Aid and CPR C if they do not already possess these certifications</i></p>

<p>Camp Counsellors (Coaches) will be responsible for leading a skill group, which includes providing outstanding instruction while fostering a fun and encouraging environment. Successful candidate&rsquo;s responsibilities will be, but are not limited to, the following:</p>

<p><b>Work Hours</b></p>
<p>You will be required to be on-site July &amp;amp; August from 8:00am &ndash; 4:00pm Monday to Friday however, there will be some duties performed outside of these hours (mostly remotely).</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>Program Director are the on-site leaders of our camps and are responsible for the planning, organization and implementation of daily camp programming, while fostering a fun, inclusive and safe environment for all campers and staff. As a Program Director, you are responsible for the holistic management of the camp with the support of your Co-Program Director and the Assistant Director. More specifically, Program Directors have responsibilities both on-site and off-site, which include, but are not limited to, the following:</p>

The Enhanced Youth Outreach Worker will provide short term counselling support and case management for at-risk youth and families as referred by the P-YOW team. The Enhanced YOW will provide counselling in a non-threatening, supportive, client centered format where access to assessment and supports/resources are made available. Counselling focuses on personal and social development; behavioral change; cultural demands and expectations; and reintegration of youth with their families or transitioning to independent living.<br />

Provide community based Mental Health counselling support to 360&deg;kids&rsquo; clients and their families.</li>

Assess the needs of youth and their family and provides in-home, community and agency-based service as required.</li>

Negotiate realistic and achievable youth and family action plans, in consultation with all family members ensuring active participation in decision making; and the inclusion of other relevant parties, which will be reviewed during the intervention period and review progress towards achieving these plans</li>
<li>
Work within a youth-focused, stages of change, family-centered approach to service delivery, establishing a working relationship with youth and families that demonstrates respect and honest communication, including protective factors.</li>
<li>
Work together with youth and families to improve community connections and access to community resources and connect youth and family members with other agencies in the community including other 360&deg;kids&rsquo; programs.</li>
<li>
Conducts assessments and intake interviews with clients in a variety of locations which may include low income settings (hostels, drop in centres); public areas (parks, sidewalks, ravines); institutional settings (hospitals, court houses), determines eligibility based on functional, income, employment, and housing status, and makes recommendations based on needs.</li>
<li>
Conducts in-person or telephone meetings with youth to assess needs, set goals, and begin movement towards minimizing crisis and increasing stability.</li>
<li>
Resolves conflict situations including client complaints and disputes. Listens, mediates, negotiates and provides support and guidance to resolve issues and documents outcome.</li>
<li>
Ensures effective service delivery to the client by documenting information, observations and impressions that may impact on a client&rsquo;s case plan where appropriate.</li>
<li>
Encourages youth engagement with community services by making referrals and reducing barriers to accessing outside supports and services, by accompanying them to agencies, and helping them access information about services.</li>
<li>
Ensures safety and well-being of clients when in contact with them.</li>
<li>
Delivers group presentations and education or information tables on 360&deg;kids&rsquo; services or on special interest topics to youth, school professionals, community groups or agencies towards youth and community engagement .</li>

Participates in regular Clinical supervision meetings and performance appraisal meetings on a semiannual basis. Attends training workshops and relevant conferences that pertain to the role.</li>

Facilitates community collaboration with key partners and/or builds capacity for partnerships with populations such as LGBTTQ, mental health, addictions, diversity councils, faith-based assemblies, education bodies, justice panels, police, and Community committees.</li>

Experience in assisting persons with psycho/social/physical, educational, emotional and/or environmental problems in a variety of locations.</li>

Excellent assessment skills with experience responding to situations based on available information.</li>
<li>
Possess strong personal ethics and integrity, as well as, exceptional interpersonal skills, including influencing, consensus/team building, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, management, leadership, motivation, delegation, coaching/mentoring, and empowerment.</li>

<p>First Aid and Camp Safety</p>
<p>&#8211; Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner<br />&#8211; Support the Coaches in:<br />&#8211; Providing first aid to Campers and Coaches as needed<br />&#8211; Keeping diligent records of all incidents at camp<br />&#8211; Administering prescription medications to campers<br />&#8211; Keeping a clean, well-organized, and fully stocked first aid kit</p>

<p>&#8211; Ensure that camp-wide policies and procedures are implemented and followed by all coaches and campers (i.e., phones/tablets away during camp, regular headcounts, garbage pick-up, etc.)<br />&#8211; Ensure accurate tracking and organizing camp equipment, supplies, t-shirts and prizes</p>
<p><b>Experience and Skills</b></p>
<p>&#8211; Strong leadership and communication skills developed through previous supervisory roles along with the ability to provide exceptional customer service<br />&#8211; Experience developing programs and activities for children<br />&#8211; Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills: ability to establish rapport and maintain excellent communication with campers, parents, and coaches<br />&#8211; Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt<br />&#8211; Experience playing and a variety of sports including but not limited to; baseball, basketball, football, soccer, etc. <b>AND/OR</b> extensive experience working with young children in a supervisory role as a teacher or early childhood educator<br />&#8211; Ability to encourage and motivate staff, and to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of others<br />&#8211; Flexibility to meet on occasional evenings and weekends with the Camp Leadership Team throughout the summer<br />&#8211; <i>Program Directors will be required to become</i> certified <i>for Standard First Aid and CPR C if they do not already possess these certifications</i></p>

<p><b>Position Details</b></p>
<p>Camp operates weekly in July and August from 8:30am &ndash; 4:00pm (with extended care from 8:00am until 5:00pm) Monday to Friday. This summer, camp will operate for 7 to 9 weeks dependent on the location. We are hiring Assistant Directors for the following camps:</p>
<p><b>Location &amp;amp; Sport</b></p>
<p><i>Multi-Sport &ndash; Oshawa</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Location: The Yard (870 Taunton Rd W, Oshawa, ON)<br />&#8211; Term: June 30 &ndash; August 22, 2025</p>
<p><b>Work Hours</b></p>
<p>You will be required to be on-site July &amp;amp; August from 8:00am &ndash; 4:00pm Monday to Friday however, there will be some duties performed outside of these hours (mostly remotely).</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>Assistant Directors are the &ldquo;second-in-command&rdquo; on-site leaders at each of our camps and are there to assist the Program Directors with the planning, organization and implementation of daily camp programming, while fostering a fun, inclusive and safe environment for all campers and staff. As the Assistant Director, you will have responsibilities both on-site and off-site, which include, but are not limited to, the following:</p>
<p>Pre-Camp (June &ndash; Part-Time (<i>Approximately 25 hours total</i>))</p>
<p>&#8211; Assist the Program Director with the planning and execution of staff-training, currently scheduled to occur June 21/22 (attendance at staff-training is mandatory; dates subject to change)<br />&#8211; Attendance at supplemental training specific to the on-site leadership staff, currently scheduled to take place May 31/June 1 (attendance at staff-training is mandatory; dates subject to change)<br />&#8211; Work with the Program Director to ensure that all required equipment and supplies are purchased, stored and organized at camp</p>
<p>During Camp (July &amp;amp; August &ndash; Full-Time)</p>
<p><i>Staff Management</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Communication of weekly schedules and daily reminders to coaches (including any medical conditions, sun safety, hydration, etc.)<br />&#8211; Facilitate start and end of day staff meetings with the Program Director<br />&#8211; Assist the Program Director with coach evaluations and on-site CIT oversight</p>
<p><i>Programming</i></p>
<p>&#8211; Assist the Program Director to create and facilitate daily camp programming &ndash; get involved with the campers!<br />&#8211; Work with the coaches to continuously improve programming</p>
<p><i>Camper and Family Interactions</i></p>
