Kenect Recruitment Leicester are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Drivers for our existing clients in and around the Leicester area. Our clients offer regular work all-year-round.

Job role: Van Driver

Shifts: Monday to Friday (6am starts)

Pay rates: £11.44 (PAYE)

The role

• Operate and drive vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, for the safe transportation of goods.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Communicate with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs as required.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
• Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Driver, preferably in a commercial driving or delivery driver capacity.
• Valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment when necessary.
• A good understanding of safety protocols related to driving and cargo handling.
• Flexibility in working hours may be required based on delivery schedules.
